The Bent Tree
A bird flew over.
A seed dropped.
Wind blew the dirt.
A shoot popped.
The baby tree peeked round.
It was alone
In a big sea.
It didn’t care.
It was alive.
Years passed.
Strong winds blew.
The tree bent.
It was content.
Big things passed by.
The bent tree
Felt the eyes.
The eyes
Were lonely.
The eyes
Shimmered with
Moisture.
The eyes saw
The bent tree and
Made the eyes think.
They did not
Have to be alone
Like the bent tree.
The eyes turned
From the bent tree.
The eyes dried.
They could be
Happy again.
Be like the bent tree.
They could survive.
The bent tree
Watched the big
Thing with the eyes
Pass him by.
A bird flew over.
A seed dropped.
The wind blew the dirt.
A shoot popped.
The bent tree watched.
The bent tree smiled.
The bent tree’s heart glowed.
A big thing with eyes passed by.
The bent tree did not see.
The bent tree
Just watched his baby tree.
Big smiles to everyone!!!! Be a bent tree in a big world. Sway with the wind. Plant your roots deep.
Yay, Royal Caribbean Cruise Line for letting me find this little dude out in the ocean!!!
